In Indian society, normally people tend to go for men who are older and women who are younger than them. It is a necessity of all marriages, be it love or arranged marriage. More so in arranged marriages as the parents of the girl or the boy focus on the age factor of the couple. It could be due to the fact that being younger to the husband will indirectly make the girl more conscious about their age difference that will bring forth a line of respect that shouldn't be crossed by her. This has been a settlement that had been practiced from a long time since our golden age. Though now we can assume the generation to have really moved on towards a new era with no age factor having a massive play in the settings of marriage institution between two people. It all depends on that particular 'click' in-between the two individuals, nothing more or nothing less. If it is love marriage, then of course in love there is generally no boundaries that count to make any difference like that of age, religion, caste or for that matter nowadays even gender. Though in recent times, we can clearly state without a doubt that even arranged marriages no longer have any importance to age as being a detrimental factor in the institution of marriage. Most of them though start to count from within the Bollywood industry, as there are many couples who have a big age difference in-between the bride and the groom; well, just because of that, here's a list of those couples wherein the actress is older than her husband: 1. Namrata Shirodkar and Mahesh Babu: 
A talented actor, producer as well as a former model with the title tag of Femina Miss India. She definitely could have had married anyone older to her own self, but then we wouldn't have had the opportunity to gape at the lovely couple, she and two years her junior, Mahesh Babu.
