Have you watched a horror movie of late? If yes, how was the experience? I am sure, you must have had few mini heart-attacks and a roller-coaster of emotions while watching it, right? Well, you should have that skill to survive horror movies. For that, you need to follow some rules.

The movie The House Next Door has hit the screens now & we know you too are waiting to watch it. However, some people are confused whether to book tickets or not because they get scared easily. Why miss such a good movie just because you don't know to tackle the situation?

For all such people, we are here with 10 golden rules that must be applied to all horror movies. Have a look…

1) Never ever go alone!

Always take your best friend (If you are single) or your partner while going for a horror movie. Of course, you would need someone to scratch your nails or someone who could hold your hands and make you feel safe and secured.

2) Always believe in positivity rather than negativity

You need to show some confidence and believe that positivity overpowers negativity. With this mindset, it's going to be easier to survive the movie.

3) Keep eating your favorite snacks throughout

Divert your mind in eating. Enjoy the movie with your favorite flavored popcorn or may be hot coffee and samosas. When your taste buds are satisfied, the fear will go down a bit & moreover, it will keep you occupied. Focusing on 2 things together reduces the intensity of one thing.

4) Consider that it's just a MOVIE & is purely for ENTERTAINMENT

Fix this thing in your mind. It's just a movie and nothing else. Makers have spent crores of rupees to entertain the audience and not to scare them. If you want to enjoy fiction, learn to accept it first.

5) Don't relate Horror Movie with Real Life

Your life is not a horror movie. So, stop relating things that happened in the horror movie to real life situations. Don't try to assume that there's actually a ghost in your room, just because the same happened in the movie. It's actually stupid to do so.

6) Don't Sleep Alone the day you watched the movie

Hearing weird sounds or dreaming about weird things is very much possible after the movie. Avoid sleeping alone that night. If possible, call friends over. Those gossips will make your night less scary.

7) Try to show INTEREST rather than getting SCARED

The moment you book tickets for the movie, tell yourself that you actually "Wish to explore the film" and identify the interesting elements. Rather than focusing on horror elements and getting scared, focus on interesting elements i.e. locations, their costumes or the way the movie is executed.

8) Always remember that as per SCIENCE, ghosts don't exist at all

There has always been a debate "Do ghosts really exist?". If you are a superstitious person, you might believe their existence but if you really want to survive a horror movie, you need to believe science. Science says that there is no such thing called "Ghost". You decide for yourself now!

9) Make sure you book tickets in a jam-packed theater

If you book tickets in an empty theater, chances of you being scared are more. Instead, choose a jam-packed theater as you will have that satisfaction of too many like-minded people watching the movie with you.

10) Challenge yourself that you are completely fine with Horror movies

It's good to challenge yourself sometimes. Tell yourself, "I will watch the whole movie brave-heartedly" and not get scared." When you work towards this challenge and accomplish it, you will get 100 percent satisfaction. In turn, you will forget all that fear.

One such movie is the The House Next Door, the Hindi version of Tamil movie "Aval". This movie starring Siddharth and Andrea Jeremiah is going to scare you like crazy. Basically, it revolves around a neurosurgeon and his wife & how they deal with a haunted house next door.

Siddharth, who is a neurosurgeon, doesn't believe in supernatural powers. However, one fine day, he is forced to believe it after he sees a close on going on the path of exorcism.

You must go and watch the first day first show of The House Next Door, which is all set to hit the theaters on 10th of November 2017.
