Few days back, a video went viral showing Indigo ground staff hitting a passenger and now once again, we witness an example of insensitiveness of the employees of another airlines.
On Wednesday, nearly 48 passengers of Air India were left stranded on the Jaipur airport runaway because the pilot left the plane, citing that his shift is over.
As per a report published in DNA, the plane was at the airport till Thursday evening.
What happened?
Flight 9I 644 was flying from Lucknow to Delhi, via Jaipur but it got late and reached Jaipur at 1:30 am instead of 9 pm, it's scheduled time. However, it was not able to fly for Delhi till 2 am due to smog and some technical issues being faced at Delhi airport. However, when it reached the take-off point, it was again stopped from taking-off for 30 minutes and then the pilot left the plane, saying that his shift is over. Some out of 48 perplexed passengers were sent to Delhi on Thursday morning by bus and some were made to stay in a hotel and they flew later on.
Airport authorities confirm the incident:
The incident has been confirmed by the airport authorities but they didn't make any comment as it is the internal matter of the airlines.
The mediapersons were told to contact the office of the airlines if they have any question regarding the incident and this is what we get to hear,
"We do not know. Such matters come under the Roster department of the airline in Delhi."
This incident might malign the image of the airlines and people might consider looking for other options. What do you say?
